What is it really like to stay in an aparthotel with kids? Categories Family guides Room to be yourself Length 3 min read Author Roomzzz 17 Oct '18 Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share via email Guest blog by Travel Loving Family My family and I were recently invited to check out the newest Roomzzz aparthotel, in London Stratford. I’ll be completely honest, the first thought that popped into my head when I read the invite was – Who are Roomzzz? And secondly, what the heck is an ‘aparthotel’? Surely it’s an apartment or a hotel? It can’t be both?! After just a few minutes of research, I was already questioning why every accommodation provider doesn’t offer the services and features of a Roomzzz aparthotel. #Ad. We’ve just got home from a brilliant wkd in London. We spent Friday night reviewing a swanky new apartment/hotel for roomzzzuk in Stratford which we loved! We were thoroughly spoilt with two bedrooms and a huge living area with outside balcony. Last night was not quite as glamorous! We booked into a regular hotel to spend some time with my brother on the other side of London. I’ll be honest, it came as a bit of a shock to have to creep around the room in the dark whilst our boys were in bed, I really missed the apartment living room I’ve shared a few videos on my IG stories and I’ll be publishing a blog review soon so do pop over for a peek This photo was taken in the roomzzzuk breakfast room, doesn’t it make you have serious lights and furniture envy?! #iwanttheselights #anddiningtable #roomzzz Here’s why aparthotels are the way forward for travel loving families:Separate bedrooms for the kids. This is an absolute game changer for any family city break. Creeping around the dark trying to avoid waking your kids up is surely no one’s idea of a fun holiday. Neither is sitting in a bathroom with your partner trying to watch a movie on a tablet because you’re too scared to attempt to turn on the TV in your room!A spacious, private living area. My kids always wake up early when we’re away from home. Having a living room where they can play with their toys and watch TV, whilst hubby and I have a much needed lay in, gets a big thumbs up from us. A fully kitted out kitchen. I’ll be honest we didn’t use it for our one night stay, apart from to make a few brews and pop open a bottle of wine. However, the option to cook and minimise the cost of eating out is brilliant for families, particularly large families or those with picky eaters. The added convenience of washer-dryers is also a huge plus for a family break. Complimentary breakfast. My boys absolutely love going for breakfast when we are on holiday. They go back and forth helping themselves to the buffet, it makes them feel very grown up. Our stay at Roomzzz was no different. They both loaded their plates with pastries, juices, yogurt and fruit, and loved chatting to the friendly reception staff. A home away from home. Whilst ordering in a take away is frowned upon when you stay in a hotel, you’ll be glad to know that it’s very much encouraged at Roomzzz. (Hurrah for take away pizza and Strictly Come Dancing!) Staff on call 24 hours a day. We love staying in self catering places however I’m always slightly apprehensive about booking them because of the unknown. (Where do you pick up the keys? How do you check in, etc). Booking via Roomzzz you know you are booking with a reputable company and with staff on call in the reception area around the clock. Video tour – Roomzzz London StratfordHere’s a sneak peek inside our apartment – we stayed in a two bedroom Liberty Suite. You’ll also get a glimpse of the very swanky breakfast lounge near the reception area and the complimentary gym. Roomzzz London Stratford – tour around around suite and the apartment/hotel facilities! #ad I hope you’ve found this blog helpful.
