Community

We work alongside our own Parklane foundation, founded by our owners. Over the years the Parklane Foundation has grown and we’ve been very privileged to help those that are disadvantaged or less fortunate than ourselves. We’re proud of how we’re able to provide some people with a means to improve their lives in some way. Here’s some of the charity work we’re currently working on and we hope we can provide this support for many years to come.

THE PRINCE’S TRUST

In summer 2017, The Parklane Foundation became patrons of The Prince’s Trust. We’re proud to support this charity and to help young people have a better start in life.

LEEDS EDUCATION

Working with Leeds universities and Leeds Grammar School, we help underprivileged students and refugees through a scholarship programme so they can get the best education possible. We also provide bursaries to give people the opportunity to have a private education. Everyone deserves a good start in life and we hope this helps gives underprivileged young people the platform to get a good education.

MALAWI

The Parklane Foundation has done a lot of work in Malawi over the years. The family moved to the UK from Malawi in 1976 but always wanted to help those who were less fortunate and they’ve been able to do this in several ways. From housing project donations to providing several villages, and thousands of people, with clean drinking water, The Parklane Foundation is passionate about creating a better life for those living in poverty in Malawi.

CANDLELIGHTERS

Roomzzz Ltd donates a 100 room nights a year to families dealing with childhood cancer.

We will:

  • Update this policy at least once annually in consultation with staff and other stakeholders where necessary.

  • Provide staff with relevant environmental training.

  • Work with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to improve their environmental performance.

  • Use local labour and materials where available to reduce CO2 and help the community.
