Hotel Marketing Association reveals the winners of its coveted awards

The winners of the 27th annual HMA Hotel Marketing Awards were announced on 29th March at a ceremony attended by 100 hotel marketers, and Roomzzz scooped the coveted Best Website award for its website user experience developments. This win is yet another success for the brand, and a reflection of Roomzzz’s commitment to champion and inspire marketing excellence within the sector.

The winners were chosen by a team of industry experts, who were particularly impressed with Roomzzz Aparthotels’ ability to show brand focus and resilience over the last 18 months, and demonstrate long-term planning during a particularly challenging time.

When announcing the award win, the judges spoke highly of Roomzzz Aparthotels: “The winner achieved their aim of improving their user experience, with engaging content, a unique style, a stylish execution & creativity, prominent Call to Action and a great Virtual Assistant. They supplied good metrics around the improvements that they achieved, which included both traffic levels and the user experience. The visual appeal of the site was not compromised to deliver a great user & booking experience. The judges liked the way they approached different audience segments.”

In total, the brand was shortlisted for three awards including The Best Partnership category for Perkzzz Rewards & Loyalty Scheme; The Best Website category for Website UX Developments and The Best Social Media Campaign category for Promoting Customer Loyalty in a Post-Covid World. This really recognises the hard work Roomzzz has put in during what has been another extremely challenging and turbulent year.

Petra Clayton, chair of the Hotel Marketing Association, said: “Despite another challenging year for the hotel marketing industry, this year we saw more creativity, sharp strategy and a showcase of incredible young talent. Our awards are an important anchor in the year to pause and recognise the outstanding accomplishments of hotel marketers across the sector and the UK. I’m delighted we have this platform, thanks to our valued sponsors, to really shout about the importance and credibility of marketing talent in hotels to ensure that the industry is really championing best practice and innovation.”
