There is no need to amplify Newcastle as one of England’s top nightlife venues, as the Toon continues to party on most nights of the week.

For visitors to the northern city, careful planning is crucial in ensuring that their night in the Tyneside’s bars and clubs is a memorable affair.

We’ve got you covered with tips and advice to help organise a legendary night out, as well as suggestions on the top venues to check out!

House of Smith

Only a short distance from Newcastle train station, House of Smith is one of the Toon’s most renowned nightclubs and a strong destination to begin when looking for a smart night out.

Accompanied by Florita’s, a popular sister-bar in preparing for House of Smith itself, the club houses a vintage chic interior with a mysterious atmosphere.

It’s booths and seating arrangements make it an ideal location to host a VIP night out or party to celebrate a birthday.

More importantly, the menu consists of its own mojito section with options for raspberry, pineapple and strawberry blonde flavours. Or if you are with a party, why not share one of the clubs’ iconic jugs – ‘Storm in a pot’, mixing Midori, Amaretto and cranberry juice with fresh lime and dry ice; and ‘Mr Smith’ – a rum-filled jug of southern comfort, amaretto, Galliano, and various fruit juices, are particular specials on offer.

Perdu

Similarly located into the bustling nightlife of Neville Street in the centre of Newcastle, Perdu offers a lounge bar vibe that is often spiced up in the early hours.

With student-dedicated nights in the week – and free admission all weekend for partiers – the bar presents the opportunity for flexibility when organising a night out in the city.

Dirtiz Wednesdays and Mazed Thursdays have become popular with students at the colleges and universities in Newcastle, due to their cheap cocktail options. Martini’s, long island ice teas and daiquiris are all served at Perdu, with party packages also available.

Their secret garden also allows guests breathing space into an open terrace, where they can enjoy their cocktail or glass of wine with a little more peace and quiet.

Bijoux

Labelling itself the ‘busiest little bar in Newcastle’, Bijoux is a popular destination with MTV’s Geordie Shore cast and has attracted huge numbers since.

Often seen as a bar to begin your epic night out in the Toon with a few drinks, the atmosphere is tamed with chilled house, hip-hop and R&B playlists from the city’s resident DJs.

Bijoux’s guests can experience the bar for free every night of the week, making organising a trip to the infamous venue easy to manage. And although their cocktail list may not be as expansive as other Newcastle bars, their atmosphere is most certainly on par.

Tup Tup Palace

If you’re looking for a reputable nightclub to visit on your trip to this epic city, then Tup Tup Palace is the place to be.

The nightclub has played host to some of the most prestigious celebrities including Drake, Kanye West and more recently Ed Sheeran. Tup Tup Palace accentuates its premium nature with interior waterfalls, privately serviced tables and fine drinks brands.

Hosting a special event almost every night of the week, its popular Kinky Disko Saturday event has paved the way for Tup Tup to work with Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza to co-host an epic pool party this month.

VIP tables, guest lists and further booking options are widely available – but book in advance to ensure that you enjoy a memorably huge night out in the city!
