If you’ve only got one night, one day in Manchester, here’s how to enjoy your time in this city and get the most out of your experience. It’s an incredible place with a lot to discover so here’s your guide to spending 24 hours in Manchester…

Day 1

10am

Arrive in Manchester

You’re arriving a little earlier than check-in time but don’t worry, you can drop your bags off at Roomzzz Manchester City or Roomzzz Manchester City Corn Exchange at any time. That way you’re free to explore the city with ease!

10.30am

Brunch at Evelyn’s

Brunch is always a great day to get fuelled up for the day, isn’t it? Evelyn’s, an oh-so-cool coffee bar and lounge in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, serves up classic brunch choices such as avocado and poached egg on toast alongside the more unusual Shakshuka, Korean Roll and Kedgeree. If you’ve got a sweet tooth for your first meal on the day, feast on the ricotta pancakes with blueberries and honeycomb butter. Wash it all down with a breakfast tea or latte, or why not start your time in Manchester in style with a breakfast mimosa?

11.30am

Shopping In Afflecks

Afflecks is potentially one of the coolest places in Manchester. An eclectic mix of shops, creative spaces and places to eat, Afflecks is the place to go for one-off items and individual shops that you won’t find anywhere else in Manchester. Find a great dress in ladies boutique, No Angel, or top up your vinyl record collection in Vinyl Resting. You can even get a reading done at Tarot Readings or pick up a Manchester souvenir in Manc & Proud.

12.30pm

A Wander Around The Arndale Centre

Manchester is known for its shopping so continue your spree in The Arndale Centre. With all your high street brands such as Topshop, Apple, River Island, Hollister, and more, you’ll probably spend a bit of money in here.

2pm

Afternoon Tea At Grand Pacific

It’s time to treat yourself with High Tea at Grand Pacific. This decadent restaurant on Spring Gardens not only impresses with its richly decorated interior but also with its food. With menus inspired by pan-Asian cuisine, the afternoon tea promises Arancini with Goat’s Cheese, Marinated Tuna and Salmon Tartare, Passion Fruit Brulee, Jasmine Tea Bread with Rose Jelly, and Lamington Lollipops.

4pm

Check in At Roomzzz Aparthotel

It’s time to check in at Roomzzz Aparthotel! Friendly reception staff with hand over your room key and from there you can relax in your home away from home. Put down your shopping, settle in, and decide what you’re doing for the rest of your stay; although we can make a few suggestions…

7pm

Dinner At Hawksmoor

Hawksmoor is a name that’s familiar in London and has quickly made waves on the Manchester food scene. Opened in 2015, Hawksmoor serves up some of the best steaks in town in a superbly stunning location. It’s not just steak that this restaurant excels in though, their chicken and fish dishes also stand out and they also do vegetarian options so that everyone can enjoy an evening here.

Pair your meal with expertly chosen wines or enjoy an indulgent in one of the more indulgent cocktails on the menu – the Tropical Cobbler sounds like the perfect drink for a summer evening!
