Spring, Your Way! Categories City guides Room to be yourself Length 3 min read Author Roomzzz 27 Mar '26 Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share via email Spring’s finally here — and honestly, it’s one of the best times to get away. You don’t need to go far. Just a change of scene, a bit of fresh air, and a few days where things feel a little more relaxed. The kind of stay where you head out when you feel like it, come back when you don’t, and don’t really worry about packing too much in. And if you’re checking in with us over the next couple of months, you’ve picked a good time to do it. If you’ve got a day or two in Manchester, we’d say don’t overthink it. Head out towards the Northern Quarter in the morning, where you’ll find plenty of good coffee spots and a few shops to wander in and out of. From there, you can just see where the day takes you. If the weather’s playing nice, a walk along the canals is always a good shout. And when you’ve had enough (you’ll know when), just head back, put your feet up for a bit, then head out again later. Manchester’s good like that! Looking for something slower? York has you covered – in a good way!Best thing to do? Just get out and walk. The city walls are always worth it, especially on a clear day, and you’ll probably end up dipping in and out of little streets – including the shambles – without really meaning to. There are loads of good spots for a coffee or something to eat, but half the time you’ll just stumble across them anyway. No need to rush it. With Newcastle, we’ll always point people towards the Quayside first and it’s right on our doorstep! It’s an easy walk, great views, and when the sun’s out, it’s probably where you’ll want to spend most of your time anyway. If you’re here for a couple of days, it’s worth heading out to Tynemouth as well — proper fresh air, and a nice change of pace from the city. Then back to your apartment, something easy for dinner, maybe your feet up for a bit before heading out again and taking in the cities great nightlife. If you’re up in Edinburgh, definitely try and get up Arthur’s Seat if you can — sounds like effort, but it’s worth it once you’re up there. If not, Princes Street Gardens is a good option for something a bit more relaxed. Or just take your time wandering through the Old Town — it’s one of those cities where you don’t really need a plan to enjoy it. (London) Stratford’s ideal if you want a bit of everything. You’ve got the park literally over the road — perfect for a walk when the weather’s good — and then London on your doorstep when you’re ready for something a bit busier. It’s nice because you can dip in and out of it. You’re not stuck in the middle of the chaos the whole time. Plus Westfields Shopping Centre has something for everyone, all just a short walk from our doors! And when your day has finished, having your own space to come back to is KEY. Not just a room, but somewhere you can actually relax. Make a drink, put something on, take a breather before heading back out. Some guests head out all day. Others barely leave. Most do a bit of both.Roomzzz. Room to be yourself. Book your stay today!
