Riverdance, the show that first swept the UK by storm in 1994 is currently on tour – the farewell tour. Our first glimpse of this high-octance, rapid moving traditional Irish stepdance was during the interval of the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. Receiving a standing ovation from the audience, 15 years and 21 million fans spanning 4 continents later – it still continues to leave viewers in awe.
After a sell-out tour in 2009, the last remaining shows of the Fairwell tour are currently taking place, and West Yorkshire is set to play host to the Irish super act. Bradford Alhambra Theatre is to present the all dancing extravaganza from today to the 13th May 2010. (Monday – Thursday 7.30pm, Wednesday Matinee 2pm). Tickets range from £29.50 – £41.00.
