West Yorkshire Playhouse based in the heart of Leeds City Centre, itself the heart of Yorkshire, is highly renowned for being a hub of high end theatre productions. Here at Roomzzz we have been eagerly awaiting the release of “The Count of Monte Cristo.” A far cry from the original story, writer Joel Horwood and Director Alan Lane have brought the world renowned story of the Count’s transformation from wronged youth into seductive avenger into the 21st Century. The story sees the Count betrayed by those he held most dear, his childhood romance snatched right from him and the Count’s opportunity to take revenge. What results is fun adaptation of the original story whilst the playwright remains true to Alexandre Dumas’ tragedy of the Count’s past. A perfect way to draw to an end the holiday of Easter and as the days are getting longer, the weather warmer and the sun brighter, why not treat yourself to something different this Spring. The production is running from 16th April to 15th May 2010 (showing@ 7:45). Prices are three-tiered (£16, £21, £26).
In the meantime, how about ending your night at the theatre in comfort and luxury, here with us at Roomzzz Aparthotels.
